I designed and animated this bespoke graphic for Psyop’s social channels in celebration of Lunar New Year. As a Chinese American, I felt honored to reconnect with my heritage by incorporating traditional imagery and symbolism into this modern animation for the Year of the Snake. Below, you can explore my design process, where I drew inspiration from elements of Asian culture such as artist seals, traditional painting and calligraphy, jade, decorative knots, and, of course, the Snake zodiac.
